This team specializes in conducting various types of vulnerability assessments (full end-to-end white-box and/or grey-box testing) on a variety of Citi applications (Web, Mobile, Thick Client, and APIs) by manually identifying, researching, validating, and exploiting various known and unknown application security vulnerabilities.   Core responsibilities include:
  • Act as a subject matter expert in offensive information security performing dynamic and manual security assessments on APIs.
  • Drive remediation by outlining a defense-in-depth approach to business stakeholders and providing strategic solutions to developers on effective preventive and detective security controls and counter measures, such as guardrail capabilities within a well-defined OpenAPI specification.
  • Have strong technical writing and presentation skills to report and articulate the vulnerability assessment results to any audience.
  • Contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Industry-accredited security certifications such as: BSCP, GWAPT, GPEN, OSCP, OSWE, CISSP, or other related certifications.

The Fragiadakis (Data Science) and Combes (Disease to Biology) Labs, are seeking researchers in computational biology, bioinformatics, and data science to tackle current challenges in immunology. As a member of the lab, you will learn the analysis methods, as well as the conceptual and biological background, to analyze -omics datasets such as CyTOF, single-cell sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics. Once comfortable with these methods, under direct supervision, you will perform analyses to contribute to our understanding of immune state in our patient cohorts. You will integrate molecular data with clinical information to understand how the immune system impacts disease outcomes. You will be expected to document your analyses, present your progress and results, and participate in lab meetings. We currently have several projects examining the relationship between immune state and health outcomes in a variety of UCSF patient cohorts, including infection, autoimmunity, and cancer. Our aim is to better understand how the immune system is wired and responds, to develop better disease diagnosis and treatments. As a member of our labs, you will contribute to the design of new experiments, help maintain our computational infrastructure, and track the flow of samples and information for large-scale studies. This position is jointly offered by Dr. Alexis Combes and Dr. Gabriela Fragiadakis, who both direct CoLab teams that often collaboratively pursue questions of immune state using single-cell methods, providing an environment of wet-lab and computational biologists with whom to work. While this position requires some proficiency in programming and data analysis, candidates who are fast and eager learners, who can readily adopt new bioinformatics pipelines/workflows that have been developed in the lab and the field at-large and apply them to a series of diverse projects can be successful in this role. An aptitude for collaborative work and organization is required to excel in our environment of diverse researchers. The candidate will receive training in data analysis, as well as develop expertise and intuition in biology. Department Description
CoLabs is a new model for research collaborations for the UCSF community. CoLabs centralizes research teams and creates a set of common pipelines and workflows. It recruits and retains world class staff and trainees and develops transformative methods and technologies through engagement with the research community and institutional investments. The CoLabs initiative is comprised of five labs: Biological Imaging Development (BIDC), Data Science (DS), Disease to Biology (D2B), Flow Cytometry, and Genomics. The CoLabs help organize and integrate the UCSF community through common pipelines and data curation and pursue a set of collaborative “CoProjects” that tackle fundamental questions in the biomedical research. CoProject day-to-day operations are managed and run through the CoLabs.
Required Qualifications

The United States base range for this position is $136,878- $195,540 plus equity. Specialized Experience (SE) GS 11: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience at the GS11 grade level. SE is as follows:
  • Conduct analytical reviews of data to identify patterns.
  • Analyze information and make decisions regarding its value and worth to a case.
  • Provide briefings, intelligence reports, and/or recommendations to management or higher-level staff.
GS 12: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience at the GS12 grade level. SE is as follows:
  • Guide investigative, programmatic, and policy decisions by the intelligence, policy, and law enforcement communities.
  • Manage the collection and dissemination of intelligence information from investigations, sources and contacts to the intelligence, policy, and law enforcement communities.
  • Perform liaison duties with other US and foreign government agencies on a wide variety of topics.
GS 13: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience at the GS13 grade level. SE is as follows:
  • Interpretation of investigative information and extrapolating data for the collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination to the appropriate officials of the IC, law enforcement agencies,
and other government entities.
  • Review information/data, determine the significance, and validate its accuracy and reliability.
  • Use of various analytical techniques and devises immediate and projected estimations for those characteristics of each situation that may affect capabilities and/or specific events.
GS 14: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience at the GS14 grade level. SE is as follows:
  • Expertly handle complex issues, providing guidance to investigative, programmatic, policy decisions by the intelligence, policy, and law enforcement communities.
  • Expertly able to review information/data, determine the significance, validate its accuracy and reliability
  • Using various analytical techniques, devises immediate and projected estimations for those characteristics of each situation that may affect capabilities and/or specific events

programming/coding or computer forensics. OR
  • National Security: International relations/foreign affairs, international migration, world religions, homeland security, international law, international finance, SIGINT or offensive technological
collection operations, or subject and source targeting. OR
  • Hard Sciences: Engineering, chemical, biological/agriculture, physics, physical science, biometrics, biomedical, or forensic science. Experience and familiarization with artificial intelligence,
quantum information sciences, immersive technologies, vehicle telematics, energy infrastructure, microelectronics, and wireless technology. OR
  • Other: Accounting/economics, geospatial/mapping, open-source intelligence, journalism, electrical or psychology/sociology. Degree of study in the following areas: Central Asia, China,
Korea, the Middle East, African/Arabian Peninsula, Eurasia, Cuba, or Latin America.
